Our Strategic Objectives

  • To facilitate dialogue and networking among different citizens’ organisations.
  • To promote and advocate for an environment that tolerates different views and opinions
  • To facilitate and advocate for the formulation of citizen friendly policies.
Our Core Values
  • Transparency
  • Accountability
  • Inclusiveness
  • Social responsibility

What we do
CA is currently best known for holding inclusive and interactive forums that have clearly beneficial outcomes. The forums involve panel presentations with questions and contributions from an audience that includes university students, professionals interested in the topic of the day, NGO and CBO representatives and most important, wananchi.

In mobilising citizens to attend forums, we have formed a vast network with grassroots organisations and individuals. This network has made it possible to disseminate information on matters of public concern, when it is required and in a user friendly format.

Regional Assemblies
CA has 13 regional assemblies run by steering committees in the area where they operate.

  • Nairobi Regional Assembly (NARA)
  • Central Regional Assembly (CERA)
  • South Coast Regional Assembly (SCORA)
  • North Coast Regional Assembly ( NCORA)
  • Lower Eastern Regional Assembly (LERA)
  • Mid-Eastern Regional Assembly (MERA)
  • Upper Eastern Regional Assembly (UERA)
  • North Nyanza Regional Assembly (NNRA)
  • South Nyanza Regional Assembly (SNRA)
  • Western Regional Assembly (WERA)
  • Central Rift Regional Assembly (CRRA)
  • North Rift Regional Assembly (NRRA)
  • South Rift Regional Assembly (SRRA)

The regional assemblies were created after it became clear that different political, social and economic issues are more relevant in some areas than in others. This gives the people an avenue to voice concerns over, discuss and make recommendations on issues that may be unique to them.
